Senior Management
KTC Executive Senior Management, including the Principal and two deputies, has overall management responsibility for the college. They ensure the efficient performance of the College in all its corporate administrative functions, also ensuring the smooth operations and management of the budget and KTC resources.

Staff Recruitment
Recruitment of a new staff member operates within the KTC staff recruitment policy which occurs within MoE processes. Initially, there is a recommendation for a particular position by the Head of Divisions through the Deputy Principal Corporate Services in consultation with the Principal, based on the need for effective and efficient delivery of the departmental objectives and responsibilities. However, recruitment can only be made if the positions needed are available within the Employment Register.
- Principal recommends to the Ministry of Education Human Resource Manager to proceed with the selection and recruitment processes. With the help of the Office Manager, the Position Description with information on the positions including salary level, minimum qualification requirements and minimum work experiences and attributes, is provided to the HR division.
- Ministry of Education seeks approval from PSO on the posts, and positions are then advertised on Radio Kiribati, the MoE and KTC website and Facebook.
- Applications are open for 14 days at the National Employment Register(NER) within the Ministry of Employment, and Human Resource Development, with interested candidates given ample time to apply for the position (s).
- A list of applicants is then compiled and screened against the position’s PQR by the NER after the closure of the applications.
- The MOE HR then calls a preparatory meeting of a panel of relevant members, one of whom MUST be from KTC to confirm and endorse the list and prepare a screening test should it be required.
- Following the test, the panel invites successful candidates to an interview. Both the preparatory meeting and interview panels are conducted under the supervision of an appointed Commissioner from the Public Service Commission.
- A successful candidate is then offered the position on a one-year probationary period, before being confirmed to the post.
