Teacher/leader portfolio

Developing a teaching portfolio or school leader portfolio is a key part of the Advanced Diploma in Teaching, Advanced Diploma in Teaching (Inservice) or Advanced Diploma in School Leadership qualifications process for teachers and school leaders.  A teaching portfolio summarises and highlights your abilities as a teacher and is linked to the Kiribati National Teacher Service Standards (TSS) or the Kiribati School Leader Service Standards (KSLSS).

Journal

Developing a Journal is a key part of the Advanced Diploma in Teaching (preservice) or Advanced Diploma in Teaching (Inservice) or Advanced Diploma in School Leadership qualifications process for teachers and school leaders. A teaching or leader journal is a written record of your teaching or leadership experiences while the experiences are still fresh. Keeping notes on your teaching or leadership experiences will help you to reflect on them and learn from them. Re-reading your journal entries later-on will allow you to look back on your experiences in an objective way.
This can be useful, especially if the experience did not go well. By writing about the experience and thinking about it later-on, you can take the time to try and find out what went wrong and how to avoid the same mistake in the future.
